The Oluwo of Iwoland, His Majesty, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi has explained the rationale behind her queen, Her Majesty, Olori Chanel Akanbi who wear a crown like a King.

Many have criticized the Osun monarch, who has also be at fore of many controversies for allowing his wife to wear crown around like a king.

But the Osun State Paramount Ruler in a chat with News Proof Publisher said it's highly dishonouring for a queen not to wear a crown like a King. He explained that wearing a crown by a queen distinguishes such queen from an ordinary woman.

He said; "it will be an insult and embarrassing to the King, his town and the whole race if a Queen has to start explaining herself that " I'm a Queen o" !! to a toaster who finds a woman or Lady who happens to be a Queen without a Crown on her head."

Oluwo said his Queen, Chanel is not the first Yoruba Queen to wear a crown. He explained that he took a cue from the Great Oduduwa, the historical Founding Father of the Yoruba race, who also crowned his wife, Olokun in his reign.

"Thank God that our progenitor the Great Oduduwa respects women so much and crowned his wife Olokun" he defended
